California High School Basketball - Santa Clara can't hold off Homestead
January 20, 2023: Santa Clara, CA 95051 The Homestead Mustangs basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the host Santa Clara Bruins to 62 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Milpitas for a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino contest on Wednesday, January 25. Homestead will battle a Trojans team coming off a 58-51 league win over Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 12-6.
The Bruins (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Lynbrook (San Jose, CA). The Vikings come into the Santa Clara Valley - El Camino contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Lynbrook was nudged by Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA), 66-54, in a league contest.
