The Poolesville Falcons basketball team (Poolesville, MD), was nudged 54-53 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Whitman Vikings (Bethesda, MD)

The Vikings now possess a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Churchill for a Montgomery 4A South battle on Tuesday, January 24. Whitman will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 63-54 non-league win over Richard Montgomery (Rockville, MD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-3.

The Falcons (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Sherwood (Sandy Spring, MD). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Sherwood edged Magruder (Rockville, MD), 60-48, in a non-league battle.
