In Friday's league match, the host Salida Spartans basketball team scored a decisive 67-11 triumph over the Atlas Preparatory School Gryphons.

In their next game, the Spartans meet the St. Mary's Pirates (Colorado Springs, CO) in a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks match, on Tuesday, January 24. Salida will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record.
