The Newport Christian Seahawks basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Avalon Lancers to 40 in the Seahawks league triumph on Friday.

The Seahawks now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Christian for a Academy contest on Thursday, January 26.

The Lancers (14-2) will now prepare for their contest against AGBU (Canoga Park, CA). The Titans enter the non-league contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, AGBU nudged Buckley (Sherman Oaks, CA), 68-29, in a league contest.
