California High School Basketball - Avalon tops Western Christian

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Avalon Lancers (Avalon, CA) and the host Western Christian Fighting Lancers (Upland, CA), saw Avalon's basketball squad knock off Western Christian by a count of 50-30.

With the victory, Avalon upgrades its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Lancers host The Webb Schools (Claremont, CA) to play the Gauls in a Academy challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Gauls come into the challenge with a record of 6-13. The Webb Schools won 38-35 in their recent league challenge against Western Christian (Upland, CA)

Next up, the Fighting Lancers play the San Gabriel Academy Eagles (San Gabriel, CA) in a Academy challenge, on Monday, January 30. Western Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 46-19 non-league loss to Chisholm Trail Academy (Keene, TX).
