January 20, 2023: Stillmore, GA 30464 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the David Emanuel Academy Eagles (Stillmore, GA) and the visiting John Hancock Academy Rebels (Sparta, GA), saw David Emanuel Academy's basketball squad knock off John Hancock Academy by a count of 53-45.
With the victory, David Emanuel Academy upgrades its record to 2-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Pinewood Christian (Bellville, GA) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. Pinewood Christian won 30-28 in their recent league challenge against St. Andrew's (Savannah, GA)
Next up, the Rebels play the Twiggs Academy Trojans (Jeffersonville, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. John Hancock Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 34-16 non-league win over John Hancock Academy (Sparta, GA).
