Maryland High School Basketball - Manchester Valley fells Liberty
January 20, 2023: Manchester, MD 21102 Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD), 50-31 in a league bout.
With the win, Manchester Valley upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Mavericks host South Carroll (Sykesville, MD) to play the Cavaliers in a Carroll County bout on Monday, January 23. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 4-7. South Carroll lost 42-35 in their recent league bout against Westminster (Westminster, MD)
Next up, the Lions play the Francis Scott Key Eagles (Union Bridge, MD) in a Carroll County bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 13-2 record after their 44-22 league win over Winters Mill (Westminster, MD).
