February 3, 2023: Union Bridge, MD 21791 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD) and the host Francis Scott Key Eagles (Union Bridge, MD), saw Manchester Valley's basketball squad hold off Francis Scott Key by a tally of 48-42.
With the victory, Manchester Valley improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Winters Mill (Westminster, MD) to play the Falcons in a Carroll County challenge on Monday, February 6. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 4-14. Winters Mill won 34-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD)
Next up, the Eagles play the Brunswick Railroaders (Brunswick, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Francis Scott Key will attempt to improve on its 16-3 season record.
