Maryland High School Basketball - Liberty overwhelms Winters Mill
January 27, 2023: Westminster, MD 21157 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD) and the host Winters Mill Falcons (Westminster, MD), saw Liberty's basketball squad wallop Winters Mill by a tally of 49-22.
With the victory, Liberty improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Lions travel to South Carroll (Sykesville, MD) to play the Cavaliers in a Carroll County challenge on Friday, February 3. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. South Carroll won 49-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD)
Next up, the Falcons play the Middletown Knights (Middletown, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Winters Mill will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 55-30 league win over Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD).
