California High School Basketball - West Valley can't hold off University Prep
January 20, 2023: Cottonwood, CA 96022 The West Valley Eagles basketball team (Cottonwood, CA), was nudged 56-51 in Friday's league battle with the visiting University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA)
The Panthers now possess a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anderson for a battle on Wednesday, January 25. University Prep will battle a Cubs team coming off a 41-21 league loss to Yreka (Yreka, CA). The Cubs record now stands at 8-8.
The Eagles (12-5) will now prepare for their battle against Fall River (McArthur, CA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, Fall River was nudged by Modoc (Alturas, CA), 30-24, in a league battle.
