The Westfield School Hornets basketball team scored 38 points and held the host Deerfield-Windsor Knights to 31 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Hornets now sport a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Strong Rock Christian for a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 5 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Westfield School will meet a Patriots team coming off a 69-36 league win over St. Mary's Academy (Atlanta, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 15-2.
The Knights (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Southland Academy (Americus, GA). The Raiders enter the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Southland Academy was nudged by Valwood (Valdosta, GA), 71-68, in a league contest.
