Washington High School Basketball - Sedro-Woolley nips Meridian
January 20, 2024: Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284 Sedro-Woolley Cubs (Sedro-Woolley, WA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Meridian Trojans (Bellingham, WA), 49-43 in a league bout.
With the victory, Sedro-Woolley upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Cubs travel to Mt. Baker (Deming, WA) to play the Mountaineers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a record of 2-9. Mt. Baker lost 72-24 in their recent league bout against Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA)
Next up, the Trojans play the Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Bayhawks come into the bout with a 2-13 record after their 62-30 league loss to Squalicum (Bellingham, WA).
