California High School Basketball - St. Anthony nips St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy

In Monday's league contest, the visiting St. Anthony Saints basketball team scored a close 58-57 triumph over the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors.

The Saints (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA). The Knights go into the Del Rey contest with a 12-10 record. In their last contest, Bishop Montgomery was tipped by St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA), 56-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the St. Monica Mariners (Santa Monica, CA) in a Del Rey contest, on Wednesday, January 22. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will attempt to better on its 12-8 season record. The Mariners go into the contest with a 15-8 record after their 82-56 league win over Serra (Gardena, CA).
