January 20, 2025: Baldwyn, MS 38824 The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Biggersville Lions (Corinth, MS) and the host Baldwyn Bearcats (Baldwyn, MS), observed Biggersville's basketball team knock off Baldwyn by a score of 54-42.
The Lions (18-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Thrasher (Booneville, MS). The Rebels come into the 1A Region 1 challenge with a 20-2 record. In their last challenge, Thrasher was knocked off by Booneville (Booneville, MS), 61-35, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bearcats encounter the Tremont Eagles (Tremont, MS) in a 1A Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Baldwyn will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 59-26 league win over Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS).
