The Central Heights Blue Devils basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Hemphill Hornets to 41 in the Blue Devils league triumph on Friday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Diboll for a 3A Region III District 21 contest on Tuesday, January 25. Central Heights will meet a Lumberjacks team coming off a 97-50 league win over Pineywoods Community Academy (Lufkin, TX). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 13-4.
The Hornets (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against Pollok Central (Pollok, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Region III District 21 contest with a 16-12 record. In their last contest, Pollok Central ran past Corrigan-Camden (Corrigan, TX), 52-40, in a league contest.
