Covenant Eagles (Barboursville, WV) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Truth Guardians (Charleston, WV), 39-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, Covenant upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Grace Christian (Huntington, WV) to play the in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 26. The go into the test with a record of 3-11. Grace Christian won 73-20 in their recent non-league test against Ohio Valley Christian (Gallipolis, OH)

The Guardians now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they host Bloomingdale for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Truth will encounter a Blazers squad coming off a 56-33 non-league win over Non Varsity Opponent (, ). The Blazers record now stands at 13-5.
