Illinois High School Basketball - Watseka can't hold off Herscher
January 21, 2023: Watseka, IL 60970 The Herscher Tigers basketball team scored 36 points and restricted the host Watseka Warriors to 35 in the Tigers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 3-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Peotone for a Illinois Central 8 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Herscher will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 52-42 league loss to Streator (Streator, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 10-10.
The Warriors (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL). The Blue Devils come into the Vermilion Valley contest with a 17-5 record. In their last contest, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin edged Salt Fork (Sidell, IL), 40-35, in a non-league contest.
