Georgia High School Basketball - Berrien nips Clinch County
January 21, 2023: Nashville, GA 31639 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Berrien Rebels (Nashville, GA) and the visiting Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA), saw Berrien's basketball squad hold off Clinch County by a tally of 61-58.
With the victory, Berrien improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Rebels host Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA) to play the Yellowjackets in a AA Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 1-16. Jeff Davis lost 46-27 in their recent league challenge against Sumter County (Americus, GA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Brooks County Trojans (Quitman, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Clinch County will attempt to improve on its 13-2 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 6-13 record after their 60-42 league win over Irwin County (Ocilla, GA).
