Georgia High School Basketball - Clinch County overwhelms Cook
February 10, 2023: Adel, GA 31620 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) and the host Cook Hornets (Adel, GA), saw Clinch County's basketball squad wallop Cook by a tally of 59-38.
With the victory, Clinch County improves its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Lanier County (Lakeland, GA) to confront the Bulldogs in a A D2 Region 2 challenge on Saturday, February 11. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-21. Lanier County lost 49-33 in their recent league challenge against Echols County (Statenville, GA)
Next up, the Hornets confront the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA) in a AA Region 1 challenge, on Saturday, February 11. Cook will attempt to improve on its 7-17 season record. The Purple Hurricane come into the challenge with a 15-9 record after their 78-19 league win over Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA).
