Virginia High School Basketball - Albemarle triumphant over Goochland
January 21, 2025: Charlottesville, VA 22901 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) and the visiting Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA), observed Albemarle's basketball team overwhelm Goochland by a score of 93-42.
The Patriots (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Warriors come into the Jefferson challenge with a 11-3 record. In their last challenge, Western Albemarle trounced Louisa County (Mineral, VA), 84-28, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) in a Jefferson challenge, on Friday, January 24. Goochland will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 56-55 league win over Orange County (Orange, VA).
