Mississippi High School Basketball - Byers fells Ashland
January 21, 2025: Holly Springs, MS 38635 The Byers Lions basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting Ashland Blue Devils to 48 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lions now possess a 11-10 record. They play next when they travel to Pine Grove for a 1A Region 2 game on Friday, January 24. Byers will confront a Panthers team coming off a 62-21 league win over Jumpertown (Booneville, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 14-8.
With the loss, Ashland falls to 8-14 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Independence (Independence, MS) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league game on Thursday, January 23. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 13-9. Independence lost 62-44 in their recent league game against Rosa Fort (Tunica, MS)
