January 21, 2025: Algona, IA 50511 Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Lake Mills Bulldogs (Lake Mills, IA), 60-51 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Bishop Garrigan upgrades its record to 13-2 on the year. The Golden Bears travel to Humboldt (Humboldt, IA) to face the Wildcats in a North Central match on Thursday, January 23. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 9-5. Humboldt won 65-56 in their recent league match against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA)
The Bulldogs now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Osage for a North Iowa match on Friday, January 24. Lake Mills will face a Green Devils squad coming off a 69-26 non-league win over St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA). The Green Devils record now stands at 10-3.
