The Shamokin Area Indians defeated the visiting Central Mountain Wildcats basketball squad by a final score of 61-47 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Indians clash with the Shikellamy Braves (Sunbury, PA) in a Heartland I outing, on Friday, January 24. Shamokin Area will attempt to upgrade on its 15-2 season record. The Braves come into the outing with a 4-13 record after their 49-19 league win over Midd-West (Middleburg, PA).

The Wildcats (5-10) will now prepare for their outing against Jersey Shore (Jersey Shore, PA). The Bulldogs come into the Heartland I outing with a 9-5 record. In their last outing, Jersey Shore was defeated by Selinsgrove (Selinsgrove, PA), 66-51, in a league outing.
