The Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) basketball were winner over the host Central Mountain Wildcats (Mill Hall, PA), 69-49 in Saturday's league bout.

The Indians now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Shikellamy for a Heartland I bout on Wednesday, January 8. Shamokin Area will play a Braves team coming off a 67-40 league win over Midd-West (Middleburg, PA). The Braves record now stands at 2-9.

With the loss, Central Mountain falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Jersey Shore (Jersey Shore, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a Heartland I bout on Wednesday, January 8.
