January 21, 2025: Chaska, MN 55318 The Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) basketball edged the host Chaska Hawks (Chaska, MN), 87-83 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 10-3 record. They play next when they host Chanhassen for a AAAA Section 2 bout on Friday, January 24. Orono will play a Storm team coming off a 70-67 non-league win over Jefferson (Bloomington, MN). The Storm record now stands at 6-8.
With the loss, Chaska falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to St. Louis Park (St. Louis Park, MN) to play the Orioles in a non-league bout on Friday, January 24. The Orioles go into the bout with a record of 6-7. St. Louis Park won 78-51 in their recent non-league bout against New Prague (New Prague, MN)
