The Johnston Panthers basketball squad (Johnston, RI), lost 59-39 in Tuesday's league battle with the host East Greenwich Avengers (East Greenwich, RI)

With the victory, East Greenwich advances its record to 4-9 on the year. The Avengers travel to Juanita Sanchez Complex (Providence, RI) to meet the Cavaliers in a Division II battle on Thursday, January 23. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a record of 3-8. Juanita Sanchez Complex won 55-47 in their recent league battle against Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI)

The Panthers now own a 0-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincoln for a Division I battle on Saturday, January 25. Johnston will meet a Lions squad coming off a 56-46 league win over Smithfield (Esmond, RI). The Lions record now stands at 9-6.
