Rhode Island High School Basketball - Johnston toppled by Westerly
January 7, 2025: Westerly, RI 02891 Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad prevail over the visiting Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI), 69-55 in a league battle.
With the victory, Westerly advances its record to 5-3 on the year. The Bulldogs host Lincoln (Lincoln, RI) to meet the Lions in a Division I battle on Wednesday, January 8. The Lions enter the battle with a record of 4-3. Lincoln won 58-39 in their recent league battle against Shea (Pawtucket, RI)
The Panthers now own a 0-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cranston East for a Division I battle on Thursday, January 9. Johnston will meet a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 67-53 non-league loss to Pilgrim (Warwick, RI). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 3-4.
