Texas High School Basketball - Mexia victorious over Westwood

January 21, 2025: Palestine, TX 75802

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Mexia Black Cats basketball team scored a good 74-65 triumph over the Westwood Panthers.

The Black Cats (17-10) will now prepare for their contest against Elkhart (Elkhart, TX). The Elks go into the 3A Region III District 20 contest with a 8-15 record. In their last contest, Elkhart topped Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX), 45-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, TX) in a 3A Region III District 20 contest, on Friday, January 24. Westwood will attempt to better on its 14-7 season record. The Bison go into the contest with a 10-18 record after their 64-46 league win over Teague (Teague, TX).
