January 21, 2025: Richmond, VA 23233 In Tuesday's non-league bout, the host Godwin Eagles basketball team scored a close 35-32 triumph over the Matoaca Warriors.
The Eagles now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Freeman for a non-league bout on Friday, January 24. Godwin will play a Mavericks team coming off a 49-33 non-league win over Hermitage (Richmond, VA). The Mavericks record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, Matoaca falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host Thomas Jefferson (Richmond, VA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 22. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Thomas Jefferson won 51-22 in their recent non-league bout against Hermitage (Richmond, VA)
