Minnesota High School Basketball - Schaeffer Academy holds off Mabel-Canton
January 22, 2024: Mabel, MN 55954 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Schaeffer Academy Lions (Rochester, MN) and the host Mabel-Canton Cougars (Mabel, MN), saw Schaeffer Academy's basketball squad hold off Mabel-Canton by a tally of 60-55.
With the victory, Schaeffer Academy improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN) to confront the Knights in a A Section 1 challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. Kenyon-Wanamingo won 83-81 in their recent non-league challenge against Triton (Dodge Center, MN)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics (Lyle, MN) in a A Section 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Mabel-Canton will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record.
