January 22, 2024: Warwick, RI 02886 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) and the host Toll Gate Titans (Warwick, RI), saw Rogers's basketball squad overcome Toll Gate by a tally of 67-49.
With the victory, Rogers improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Lincoln (Lincoln, RI) to confront the Lions in a Division 2 challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 12-0. Lincoln won 63-58 in their recent league challenge against Johnston (Johnston, RI)
Next up, the Titans confront the Burrillville Broncos (Harrisville, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Toll Gate will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Broncos come into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 63-44 league win over Middletown (Middletown, RI).

Alex Torbid scored 9 of his 13 points in the first quarter to help the Vikings to a 20-14 lead.
Second Quarter
Attacking the paint either on a fast break or with their halfcourt offense, Rogers outscored the Titans 20-6 to open up a 40-20 halftime lead.
Third Quarter
Although the Titans had six different scorers in the third quarter, they could not overcome their halftime deficit.
