New Mexico High School Basketball - Gallup thwarts Bloomfield
January 23, 2023: Bloomfield, NM 87413 The Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) basketball knocked off the host Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM), 61-44 in Monday's league test.
The Bengals (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Tigers go into the 4A District 1 test with a 4-13 record. In their last test, Aztec notched a victory over Shiprock (Shiprock, NM), 89-83, in a league test.
The Bobcats now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Kirtland Central for a 4A District 1 test on Tuesday, January 24. Bloomfield will encounter a Broncos squad coming off a 72-40 league win over Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Broncos record now stands at 11-6.
