Iowa High School Basketball - South Central Calhoun knocked off by Emmetsburg
January 23, 2023: Emmetsburg, IA 50536 The Emmetsburg E'Hawks basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting South Central Calhoun Titans to 60 in the E'Hawks league triumph on Monday.
The E'Hawks now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newell-Fonda for a Twin Lakes contest on Tuesday, January 24. Emmetsburg will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 84-67 league win over Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-2.
The Titans (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against West Bend-Mallard (West Bend, IA). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, West Bend-Mallard was outscored by Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (Ruthven, IA), 63-52, in a non-league contest.
