Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Central Valley can't hold off Moon Area

January 23, 2023: Monaca, PA 15061

The Moon Area Tigers basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Central Valley Warriors to 43 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Tigers now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Fayette for a WPIAL 5A 4 contest on Thursday, January 26. Moon Area will battle a Lions team coming off a 81-47 non-league win over Indiana (Indiana, PA). The Lions record now stands at 14-2.

The Warriors (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA). The Cougars enter the WPIAL 4A 2 contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Blackhawk was nudged by Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA), 55-53, in a non-league contest.
