Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Moon Area fells Central Valley

December 30, 2022: Monaca, PA 15061

Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA), 56-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Moon Area upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to South Fayette (McDonald, PA) to play the Lions in a WPIAL 5A 4 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 7-2. South Fayette won 74-61 in their recent non-league bout against Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Baltimore, MD)

Next up, the Warriors play the Blackhawk Cougars (Beaver Falls, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 2 bout, on Monday, January 2. Central Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 61-37 non-league win over New Lexington (New Lexington, OH).
