The Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) basketball nipped the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 37-36 in Monday's non-league test.

The Spartans (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers go into the non-league test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Fort Chiswell was tipped by Carroll County (Hillsville, VA), 59-42, in a non-league test.
