January 23, 2024: Arcola, IL 61910 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL) and the visiting Argenta-Oreana Bombers (Argenta, IL), saw Arcola's basketball squad overcome Argenta-Oreana by a tally of 55-35.
With the victory, Arcola improves its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Purple Riders host Heritage (Broadlands, IL) to confront the Hawks in a Lincoln Prairie challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 3-20. Heritage lost 53-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] (Kansas, IL)
Next up, the Bombers confront the Sullivan Redskins (Sullivan, IL) in a Lincoln Prairie challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Argenta-Oreana will attempt to improve on its 13-9 season record. The Redskins come into the challenge with a 16-6 record after their 59-56 non-league loss to Okaw Valley (Bethany, IL).
