Kansas High School Basketball - Central Plains ripped by Sterling
January 23, 2024: Claflin, KS 67525 The Sterling Black Bears basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Central Plains Oilers to 37 in the Black Bears non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Black Bears now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bennington for a Heart of America contest on Friday, January 26. Sterling will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 65-44 non-league win over St. John's/Tipton Catholic (Beloit, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-2.
The Oilers (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Macksville (Macksville, KS). The Mustangs enter the Central Prairie contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Macksville triumphed over Cimarron (Cimarron, KS), 53-50, in a non-league contest.
