January 23, 2024: Maplewood, NJ 07040 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Newark Tech Terries (Newark, NJ) and the host Columbia Cougars (Maplewood, NJ), saw Newark Tech's basketball squad overcome Columbia by a tally of 63-55.
With the victory, Newark Tech improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Terries host Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ) to play the Bengals in a Super Essex - Liberty challenge on Monday, January 29. The Bengals come into the challenge with a record of 7-11. Bloomfield lost 42-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Irvington (Irvington, NJ)
Next up, the Cougars play the Science Park Chargers (Newark, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Columbia will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 41-38 league win over Livingston (Livingston, NJ).
