January 23, 2024: Alexandria, SD 57311 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels (Forestburg, SD) and the host Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD), saw Sanborn Central/Woonsocket's basketball squad hold off Hanson by a tally of 55-49.
With the victory, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Freeman (Freeman, SD) to confront the Flyers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Flyers come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Freeman won 78-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Avon (Avon, SD)
Next up, the Beavers confront the Bridgewater/Emery Huskies (Emery, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 26. Hanson will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 74-51 non-league win over Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD).
