The Port Isabel (TX) varsity basketball team won Tuesday's home conference game against Zapata (TX) by a score of 67-50.
The Port Isabel Tarpons basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Zapata Hawks to 50 in the Tarpons league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tarpons now sport a 21-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Raymondville for a 4A Region IV District 32 contest on Friday, January 26. Port Isabel will battle a Bearkats team coming off a 105-34 league win over Harmony School of Innovation (Brownsville, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 12-19.
The Hawks (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against Jubilee Brownsville (Brownsville, TX). The Titans enter the 4A Region IV District 32 contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Jubilee Brownsville was defeated by Hidalgo (Hidalgo, TX), 41-38, in a league contest.
