North Carolina High School Basketball - Richmond crushes Scotland

January 23, 2024: Laurinburg, NC 28352

Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), 84-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Richmond upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a 3A/4A Sandhills bout on Friday, January 26. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 16-1. Southern Lee won 79-47 in their recent league bout against Lee County (Sanford, NC)

Next up, the Fighting Scots play the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills bout, on Friday, January 26. Scotland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Bucks come into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 54-50 league win over Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC).
