The The Covenant Eagles basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks to 23 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chelsea Academy for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. The Covenant will meet a Knights team coming off a 62-46 non-league win over Fredericksburg Christian (Fredericksburg, VA). The Knights record now stands at 8-5.

The Mavericks (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against St. Catherine's (Richmond, VA). The Saints enter the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, St. Catherine's triumphed over Norfolk Academy (Norfolk, VA), 53-51, in a non-league contest.
