January 23, 2024: Morganton, NC 28655 In Tuesday's league outing, the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC), by a margin of 54-36.
The Patriots (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies go into the outing with a 5-6 record. In their last outing, Ashe County was topped by South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 61-51, in a non-league outing.
The Pioneers now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Alexander Central for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 24. Watauga will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 48-28 league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 7-7.
