Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Jefferson County Tigers (Fayette, MS), 49-48 in a league match.

With the victory, Port Gibson advances its record to 8-15 on the year. The Blue Waves host Wesson (Wesson, MS) to face the Cobras in a 3A Region 7 match on Tuesday, January 28. The Cobras enter the match with a record of 6-18. Wesson lost 61-41 in their recent league match against Franklin County (Meadville, MS)
