January 23, 2025: Detroit, MI 48207 The Western Panthers (Parma, MI) basketball edged the host Edison Academy Pioneers (Detroit, MI), 53-48 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 11-1 record. They play next when they travel to Arbor Prep for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. Western will play a Gators team coming off a 27-21 non-league loss to Genesee Christian (Burton, MI). The Gators record now stands at 5-9.
With the loss, Edison Academy falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Marian (Bloomfield Hills, MI) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 24. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Marian lost 77-35 in their recent league bout against Mercy (Farmington Hills, MI)
