In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart Gators basketball team scored a big 49-23 triumph over the National Cathedral .

The Gators (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Episcopal (Alexandria, VA). The Maroon go into the VISAA Division I contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Episcopal was trounced by Flint Hill (Oakton, VA), 44-33, in a league contest.

In their next game, the battle the Flint Hill Huskies (Oakton, VA) in a VISAA Division I contest, on Thursday, February 6. National Cathedral will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record.
