The Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Elmwood Park Tigers to 44 in the Fightin' Irish league triumph on Tuesday.

The Fightin' Irish now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Aurora Central Catholic for a Metro Suburban contest on Friday, January 27. Bishop McNamara will meet a Chargers team coming off a 60-48 league loss to St. Edward (Elgin, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 7-17.

The Tigers (2-17) will now prepare for their contest against Westmont (Westmont, IL). The Sentinels enter the Metro Suburban contest with a 8-15 record. In their last contest, Westmont was routed by Ridgewood (Norridge, IL), 58-50, in a league contest.
