Texas High School Basketball - Commerce nips Lone Oak
January 24, 2023: Lone Oak, TX 75453 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Commerce Tigers (Commerce, TX) and the host Lone Oak Buffaloes (Lone Oak, TX), saw Commerce's basketball squad hold off Lone Oak by a tally of 49-46.
With the victory, Commerce improves its record to 7-14 on the campaign. The Tigers host Chisum (Paris, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 6-16. Chisum lost 80-47 in their recent league challenge against Rains (Emory, TX)
Next up, the Buffaloes play the Edgewood Bulldogs (Edgewood, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge, on Friday, January 27. Lone Oak will attempt to improve on its 4-22 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 15-11 record after their 50-45 league loss to Commerce (Commerce, TX).
