January 24, 2023: West Branch, IA 52358 The West Branch Bears (West Branch, IA) basketball nipped the visiting West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA), 51-48 in Tuesday's league test.
The Bears (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Regina (Iowa City, IA). The Regals go into the River Valley test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, Regina got by Tipton (Tipton, IA), 66-52, in a league test.
The Comets now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Midland for a non-league test on Thursday, January 26. West Liberty will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 57-42 league loss to Marquette (Bellevue, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-12.
